Family
I was born in New Jersey and raised in Michigan as an only child. As an adult, I met my brother and sisters. After my parents died I was adopted by a mother at my church and gained more sisters and another brother. I also have a husband, a stepdaughter and grand children. Additionally I have cousins who I call brother cousin and sister cousin. I've learned to embrace those individuals who demonstrate their godly love and support towards me as extended family. I am blessed to have these people in my life.
Upbringing
Teachers and neighbors were very supportive in my formative years. One teacher in particular will always be remembered because she encouraged me to to always reach higher. To this day, I recall it was she that paid my undergraduate application fee. There was also a neighbor in particular who asked my mom if she could take me to Sunday school and church. I accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior in 1983.
Education
I graduated valedictorian from high school at 16, college at 20 and graduate school at 27. Additional credentials are a professional certification in information technology (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) and a license to sell life insurance and variable annuities in the state of Michigan.

I've had the opportunity to travel internationally on several occasions and even lived in three countries: England, France and Canada.
In the late 80's and 90's I visited western European counties. In the 2000's I visited North American Caribbean countries. Since 2011 have visited Mexico annually and plan on living the snowbird life in various Latin American countries.

Personal Growth
I believe in setting goals and making plans to achieve them. For the most part, I've been successful with this. I've had my shares of failures, yet with every disappointment, sooner or later a lesson was learned. And that is the best one can hope for.
The Most Important Thing To Me
If I had nothing else in life, I would hold onto my relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Truly the peace of God has surpassed and continues to surpass all understanding.
